Summary (6)
Everest Poker is one of the smaller poker rooms available today. It has good software that is available in 16 different languages. The site loses a lot of points for offering only Texas Hold'em games to its players. The competition is soft and the player traffic medium. This site is excellent for beginners as it also offers a poker tutorial for new players. The site is ideal for players looking for poker software in a language other than English. The site has a good loyalty scheme called Summit Points for its players to benefit from.
Software (6)
The software at Everest Poker does not cater to the type of player that most of the other poker rooms and websites do. Everest Poker offers only one type of poker game but provides software in 16 different languages making it a boon for non-English speaking players who would like to enjoy a game of poker in their own language. Everest Poker also directs itself toward new players and provides a poker tutorial. The interface is appealing and the site is easy to navigate. The graphics are very interesting and are 3- dimensional with realistically designed characters. One interesting feature is that the table can be viewed from the observer’s point of view unlike the usual overhead views that most other sites provide.
Traffic (5)
Everest Poker is not a large site and the most number of players that it can draw during peak hours is about 4,000. The small numbers do not mean that the gaming action here is limited as the players are very loyal and avid poker players of the Texas Hold'em games. There are small numbers of players to be found in the ring games as it is only about a quarter of these players who tend to participate in them. This is a very low overall number for the site in comparison to a few of the other poker sites of today.
Tournaments (5)
Everest Poker does not as great tournament action as some of its contemporary poker sites, but it does have tournament action going on. The sit and go tournaments attract the most amount of players by far. Everest Poker also has single and multi-table tournaments with good prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 for the multi-table events. There are also satellite tournaments. There are several hundred eager tournament players who frequent the site almost daily to participate in the sit – n – go’s. Everest Poker hosts daily poker tournaments with guaranteed prizes and very low buy-ins of less than one dollar. The site also hosts tourneys with buy – ins, as well for those who have bigger pockets, but there is not much traffic to be found at these games.
Game Variety (4)
Everest Poker supports only one type of poker game, namely that of Texas Hold'em and nothing else. Rather surprisingly, the site caters to European players but does not provide the game of Omaha which is a European favorite. The site is doing well however as it has taken on Texas Hold'em which is certainly the most popular type of poker game. The lack of game variety however may be responsible for the small player traffic that the site gets.
Competition (7)
The competition at Everest Poker is very soft as the site draws players who are mostly amateurs and beginners. Compared to many of the other poker sites present on the web today, Everest Poker is one of the poker sites with the softest competition. The peak hours draw a lot of action but it must be remembered that since most of the players at this site are European, the hours are different as they usually come on during European day and evening time. The players tend to play loose and some of the no limit rooms show a 60% flop rate.
Bonuses (6)
Everest Poker has a very good bonus scheme for new players coming from Poker-Freak. The sign up bonus is an overall $300 bonus for all players no matter the amount of their deposit, which is a very good deal. To get your free $300 you have to enter our bonus code "EV300". The bonus is also easily claimable and all a player has to do to avail it is to play at stakes that are the equivalent of $1 or more. To work off their bonuses the players need to collect Summit points by playing games at the site. Summit points are earned by getting cards from raked hands, where 1 Summit point is given for every dollar taken. A 100 Summit points is equal to a $7 in your bonus money.
Support (6)
Customer Service is only via email and in many languages available. Response time is fast.
Deposit & Cashout Methods (8)
Deposits can be made via Neteller, U-Cash, FirePay, Click2Pay, Visa, MasterCard, ECO, Moneybookers and PaySafe Card while withdrawals are possible only through Neteller and wire transfer.
